Phase III Game Play
Starts week of July 6
At long last, game play will begin next week. Majors and Minors Baseball will start as early as Monday with the rest of the divisions picking up as the week goes along. Your managers will be providing you with schedules soon.
Phase III Rules
- We will continue with the same screening procedure already in place for arriving players. Same for equipment sharing.
- Players will utilize the dugouts.Coaches will strive for as much distancing as is practicable.
- This is safer than having players struck by foul balls or errant throws
- This also allows for the 14-foot distance rule from spectators.
- Coaches will all be OUTSIDE the dugouts
- No spectators will be permitted behind the dugouts and/or within 14 feet thereof.
- Spectators are allowed to a maximum of 250 persons per field.
- Spectators still required to follow 6-foot distance and masking rules for non-household members
- For games at Bentley A, no spectators are permitted behind right field if a game is being played at Bentley B (the large field). That area will be for spectators of the Bentley B game.
- Bathrooms/ Porta-Johns will remain closed.
- Masks:Not required for players. Required for coaches if NOT able to maintain distancing.
- While players may choose to wear masks, please consider the likelihood that they will get dirty and dusty.
Lastly, my thanks to our players and parents for their exceptional compliance and cooperation throughout our Phase II practice season. Please keep it up and let the games begin. The players have earned it.
